Are you experiencing smoking from your wick, leaving your jars all black and no longer as pretty as they once were?

There are a few causes for your wick to smoke.

1. Do you trim your wick before each burn?

A wick trimmer is an essential tool for your candles! If your wick becomes to long, your wick will begin to smoke. You must trim your wick each time you light your candle to ensure your candle lives it’s best life 💃🏼

2. Do you over burn your candles?

A good time frame to burn my larger candles is around 3-4 hours at one time. This is where a Candle Snuffer becomes the essential candle accessory. Using a candle snuffer minimizes smoke plume and is a safe way to extinguish your candle, it also stops particles from the wick being blown in to the wax pool beneath the wick.

Once extinguished, leave the wax to set, trim your wick with your essential wick trimmer included in your care kit and you’re good to go again. Over burning will result in smoking. 🔥

3. Do you have your candle sitting by an open window or a high traffic area where people walk past a lot in the home or office?

Candles being in a draught will cause your wick to smoke. Make sure they’re in an area where they can burn calmly with no distraction. 🌬

Also included in your essential care kit is a Candle Dipper. The perfect multi-purpose tool for the candle owner. It can be used to clean the edge of the vessel, to stand the wick straight and to tidy any stray wax which can interfere with the flame.
